Your choices define the story. Totaly. Some will turn out better than others, some will worse and some will be straight up hilarious. You are to find the real true ending among your possible destinies and become a hero. Or maybe something more...
Text-based gameplay diversity
The core classic. Dive into the stories and find a way to exploit EVERY possible situation. Did you know that if you throw a lockpick at an attack droid, it will decide that you are stupid and will deactivate? Build your character, choose your alignments, learn the lore of the world. You will need it all to succeed.
Game mechanics
The story will throw a mix of dialogues, choices, turn-based battles, puzzles, weapon and resource crafting, technology research and more at you. You will use all you can to survive the challenging world of Horizon.
Turn-based philosophy
The player decides on the speed that he wants to play the game at. Everything is turn-based. There is no time-limit for making decisions, no quick-time events, no rush: you can take any amount of time to make your turn.
Beautiful world
Enjoy the wild and crazy sceneries of the world of Horizon. Deserts, jungles, cities, underground caverns… the list goes on.
Colorful characters
Meet the locals! Who is more to your liking? Side with “Bullet King” and uncover an ancient cryptic artifact. Or choose to undermine his brutal regime and make the local revolutionary your friend. Or screw them and go try to play romance with the alien girl? Or blow up the planet? Or… You get it!

Another 'make your choice' game.. And your choice changes everything.. A very good game.. It's like reading a 'choice book' of my youth, but much more fun!..
I recommend this one.. Star Story is an interactive novel/RPG. This is a bit like Oregon Trail in that you coast along a fixed sequence, from one encounter to the next, making decisions on the way. There's a simplistic 2D combat system where you click on various attacks and use shields and bandages to win the combat. You make various decisions with undetermined outcomes to progress through the game, collecting points which represent the characteristics of your choices (intelligence, compassion and fighting ability seem to be the three areas you grow in).

There's a number of flaws with this game... the writing is quite bad, there's no proper graphics customisation settings. Gameplay is pretty boring considering this is on PC, it might be good for very casual gamers, but I'm not sure who it's supposed to appeal to. At least it doesn't have retro pixel graphics. The $15 price tag is extremely high given the very mediocre quality of the game (2D graphics.. it' 2018, come on...). You can get way, way better games for $15.. Review for people that do not like repetive/constant crafting....If you are not a fan of constantly returning to a paticular area for crafting items constantly just to progress you will not like it...No actull item drops besides what you start out with...Just componets and material to make them. The rest of the game is nice & I don't mind some craftiing at all but that crafting is just too repetitive & takes me out of the story to much ... Okay, so you know how you end up with a few hundred games in your Steam library and you have no memory of aquiring those games? It's usually from Humble Bundles or Fanatical bundles, right? So for me, this game falls into that category. It was my day off work (yeah, that thing a lot of us do in 'real life') and I was browsing through my game library and just booted up this game on a whim. I had read no reviews and did not know anything about it.
It's weird! But weird in a good way! It actually reminds me of the old Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone Fighting Fantasy books in a way, bizarre as that seems. You encounter multiple choice questions and your answer determines where you go next.
It seems to be a fun, interesting game, suitable for short ten or twenty minute spells. I am not sure I would pay full price for it (and am pretty sure I didn't!) but if you spot it on sale or as part of a bundle, then I think you'll be happy with it.. It's honestly a great game. So many fun surprises, and a lot of replayability with 24 endings. A great choose your own adventure game that offers you lots of choices in the development of your character.

It has been a long time since we released the Star Story: The Horizon Escape on Steam.
We are ready to announce the exact release date of the fully complete, revised and improved (from standpoint, at least :) version of the game, out of early access.
It will be available to all players on Steam on September 5, 2017!
Working on the update, we carefully considered all the comments and suggestions that we received.

We put great emphasis on the extension of the content in the game. We have revamped the world of Horizon, deepened character backgrounds and completely rewritten the story, while staying true to the original motives - now it's non-linear and have 24 (!!!!) alternative endings.
For the new version, many new worlds were created by our artists, the graphics of existing locations were detailed and extended with new unique events.
The event generation system was rebuilt by our dev. team to provide much more varied gameplay. Now it’s much less predictable and obvious than in the early access version.

In a word, our team has invested a lot of work, love and desire to finish the complete version of the project, which we called Star Story: The Horizon Escape!
Sincerely, we hope that when you play our game, you will have as much fun as we got while we were developing it.
